ABOUT
Hi! My name is Sarah Reese.
I'm a photographer and geologist based in Sudbury, Ontario.

Me, photographed by Bennett Malcolmson (Film, 2024).
I'm passionate about bringing ideas to life using my camera and other creative mediums. Focusing on editorial, street, and documentary photography, I explore themes of time, decay, and beauty in the mundane. I enjoy shooting both film and digital formats. My background in geology and engineering helps me combine both scientific and creative approaches for different perspectives, and connect with a range of audiences. Whether in the studio or out in the field, I aim to create art that both challenges and highlights the ordinary.
Currently, I am working on a documentation project covering the demolition of the Sudbury Superstack. I am also digitizing my grandparents' slide film archive. I continue to pursue creative opportunities while building my career as a geologist.
